Drawing classes and coloring classes parent-child in Sorel-Tracy
Your child has an innate talent in drawing or is passionate about creativity? You would like to develop their full potential while being present? Our parent-child formula is what you're looking for.
Enroll your child in the parent-child drawing class for a private drawing session personalized on the passions of your child! Rediscover your sense of wonder by participating in the class and the drawing activities. Be also a witness to the joy of your child in practicing their favorite activity and observe their progress in real time!
Functioning and cost
Material is included in the parent-child drawing class. If the child prefers to use their own materials they can bring their own sketchbooks and pencils. Bringing your own sketchbook will allow the child and parent to better preserve their drawings in a unique book.
Sessions last 60 minutes and cost $50 each. If the child desires to continue their learning beyond the introductory class an engagement of three classes is asked.
Teacher profile
Hello, my name is Madeleine Dubé and I am a graduate of Concordia University in Fine Arts, majoring in Painting and Drawing. This excellent program allowed me to develop my knowledge in the fields of art history and education, as well as to learn artistic techniques and to cultivate creativity.
In my drawing classes, I incorporate the artistic principles I learned in college, as well as those taught by Kimon Nicolaides, author of "The Natural Way to Draw", and Betty Edwards, author of "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain".
My philosophy is that to facilitate learning, drawing should remain a game - of course for the more ambitious, a program can be established, but discipline and patience will be required!
Drawing can also be therapeutic and an excellent way to change one's perspective on things. Since it uses the intuitive and creative part of our being, it can help us find solutions to everyday problems.
